INTERCESSORY PRAYER CHANGES OUTCOMES: INTERCESSORS CHANGE THE HISTORY OF NATIONS

This prayer session reminded us that intercession is a mandate for every believer, not just a chosen few. Through the examples of Daniel, Ezekiel, Ezra, and Reese Howells, we were encouraged to stand in the gap for individuals, the Church, and nations through faithful prayer.

Key Teachings

  • Intercession requires identification with those we pray for.
  • Brokenness before God is the bridge to effective prayer.
  • Obedience is the language of heaven.
  • Intercession involves sacrifice, faith, and partnership with the Holy Spirit.
  • Many spiritual victories are won in the secret place of prayer.

  • Shifting our responsibility as the Body of Christ to church leaders.
  • Abdicating our God-given authority to politicians.
  • Neglecting personal spiritual growth and discipleship.
  • Defiled altars.
  • South Africa’s stand against Israel.
  • The lack of unity within the Church.
  • Restoring reverence for God’s house.

We Also Prayed For

  • God’s wisdom for IEC councillors.
  • Wisdom and discernment for voters.
  • God’s direction for the youth.
  • Wisdom, humility, and righteous leadership for government leaders.
  • God’s protection over South Africa and the fulfilment of His purposes for the nation.

The session concluded with a declaration from Hebrews 12:22–28, affirming our confidence in God’s unshakable Kingdom and reminding us that intercessors have the privilege and responsibility of partnering with God to change the course of history through prayer.
