Day 7: 14 December
James 3: 13 – 18 “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show his deeds done in gentleness of wisdom by his good life. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
Psalm 24: 7-10 “Lift up your heads, you gates; Be lifted up, you everlasting doors: The King of glory will come in. 8 Who is the King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, you gates; Yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors: The King of glory will come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? Yahweh of Hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.”
It comes so naturally to the flesh to walk in self promotion, which is basically the root sin of Lucifer, not to mention the lack of the fear of the Lord and unbelief as well as discontent that are extremely dangerous sins that blind us to the fear of the Lord and to wisdom. We quickly loose our peace and start to pursue that which we think we should have or where we think we should be. We herewith step out of the Lord’s plan and pace for our lives and start to fall pray to the dark sins of boasting, jealousy and self promotion.
As we have already lost our peace, we now pursue our own agendas frantically. We can’t hear the Lord anymore, because we become convinced of what our selfish ambition tells us. It becomes acceptable to leave people of our own or other cultures hurt, pushes down, treated unfairly and even taken out. All in the light of the “greater mandate” that our own sins casts as an illusion before us.
Instead, we need to now lay ourselves down on the altar of the Lord and allow the Lord to be the only God in your life. Surrender your soul to Him and receive His peace so that you can take your place as a living portal, a living gate with a head that is steered by Christ and His Holy Spirit, and that stands fully submitted to His directives for you. Take your stand, surrender all and lift your head of authority in Christ Jesus, declaring only that which He wants you to declare so that South Africa can truly be reformed according to the pure heart of the Father for our nation.
Prayer:
Lord, please forgive me for I choose to repent and lay down my own self-promotional agendas and forgive me and my bloodline for deeply demonic sins that came into us through generations. Cleanse us from all fleshly earthly, sensual, and demonic defilements. Forgive me for all jealousy and selfish ambition which has brought confusion and every evil deed. Give me the wisdom that is from above which is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy, for I know that the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Cleanse us and bring us into a place where we can stand with a pure sound and lift up our ancient doors and heads as Your living gates so that You can enter into us and through us into South Africa.
