Week 15 – Governmental Prayer Watch

  1. IDOL OFJEALOUSY

God clearly spoke to us when praying for SA that there is an idol of jealousy, which provokes jealously in SA (Ezk 8:3 & 5). And wherever there is jealously and contention, there will also be confusion and all sorts of evil and vile practices (James3:16).

The reasons for jealousy In SA are endless. We have economic inequalities; educational inequalities, unemployment… however, the Lord says in SA we have made jealously an idol. We have attached a legitimacy to jealousy in attempt to redress the injustices of the past and although redress was necessary, it had influenced the conditions of our hearts. The result is every kind of evil works, like unacceptable high crime rate and corruption, as well as bad service delivery etc…

GodalsoshowedavisionofmanyangelsthatarebeingreleasedoverSouthAfricaandhesaidprayfor the releasing of My power. As we pray and we prophesy, God’s angel army is released to do his commandments (Ps103:20).

  1. DECISIVELEADERSHIP

Prov 6:18-19 states that God hates the following:

“18. A heart that manufactures wicked thoughts and plans, feet that are swift in running to evil.

  1. A false witness who breathes out lies (even under oath) and he who sows discord among his men.”

The Lord is speaking to the leadership of our country: Pres Ramaphosa, the leaders of the NPA, the police and government leaders:

“Don’t be timid, don’t be afraid. The enemy of corruption is coming against you like a flood, but I God will raise the standard. Stand up and fight. Do not be double minded. Do not have meetings upon meetings to strategise about which battle to fight first. All battles must be fought. Fight the first one that comes. Great victories require bold actions. Be decisive in your leadership. It is time to make a stand.

AndtheLordsays:IwillbringnearMyrighteousness,itwillnotbefaroff,andMysalvationshallnot tarry (Is46:13)”

This is a NOW word for governmental leaders. It is time to take a stand. The judiciary has taken a bold and courageous stand on the arms deal – it is now your turn NPA to take action against the people implicated in the arms deal. It is time that action is taken against the people implicated in state capture. Do not tarry; take bold action. God will fulfill His part.

  1. ENCOURAGING THESAINTS

Let’s be the Joshua and Caleb generation – that sees what God can do with impossible giants. Acts: 14:22

God will continuously establish and strengthen your soul and you hearts, urging and warning and encouraging you to stand firm in the faith, and [telling them] that it is through many hardships and tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.
