National Prayer Strategy: Day 7

Day 7: 14 December

James 3: 13 – 18 “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show his deeds done in gentleness of wisdom by his good life. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” Continue reading “National Prayer Strategy: Day 7”

Days 6: 13 December

Hebrews 10:38 and 39 “But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction, respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him. But our way is not that of those who draw back to eternal misery (perdition) and are utterly destroyed, but we are of those who believe [who cleave to and trust in and rely on God through Jesus Christ, the Messiah] and by faith preserve the soul”. Day 5: 12 December

James 1:5-8 “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him. Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind. For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything [he asks for] from the Lord, [For being as he is] a man of two minds, (hesitating, doubting, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides].

Most of us struggle with doubt and double-mindedness. Often this struggle has been birthed from the difference we
experience between what we have lived through in our souls and bodies versus what the Word of God says. With one part of us we choose to agree and align with what the the Lord says, yet another part of us is nearly magnetically drawn back into aligning with the lies that the enemy wants us to consider. Treacherous whispers that suggest that we are alone, that God won’t come through, that we don’t matter, that we don’t have what it takes and that God doesn’t care if we suffer. All malicious lies that capitalize on our woundedness, naivety, our lack of wisdom and inadequate understanding of Who God is and revelation about His perspective. Let’s ask the Father to raise us up in understanding His perspectives and to teach us how to let go and how to lean heavily on the arm of Jesus in every matter.

Lord Jesus, I confess and repent for every time I or any person in my bloodline choose not to seek Your face with our whole hearts and where this caused us to come into agreement with the same doubt that Adam made room for and which lead to his fall and the current fallen state of man.

Please have mercy on us and forgive us for every lie we believed, forgive us for all double-mindedness and restore stability in us. I give You permission to take out the ungodly mindsets that I carry generationally and to set the Plumbline of Your Truth in me. Teach me how to be unwavering and solid in my faith and how to receive and keep a single focus in me, especially when it comes to what You say about who You are, who I am called to be and what You want to do through me in South Africa.

National Prayer Strategy: Day 4

Day 4: 11 December

Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life of death, and those who love it will eat its fruit”.

James 3:9 and 10. “With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who were made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not to be so”.

The same creational power has been placed into the words of each and every able-minded human being by our Father in Heaven, whether we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb or not. This is a scary truth when even the tongues of the redeemed need to be submitted to firm, godly discipline and instruction. How much damage will not be done and death spoken into our own lives and into the lives of others and over the beautiful pure Promise of the Lord for the Country of South Africa? Especially words spoken from wounds or strongholds of bias, hatred, fear, hurt and anger carry great demonic weight, as do words of gossip and slander. If we have an issue with a brother or a sister, the Lord expects of us to discuss it with them directly so that we can deal with the roots of whatever issue exists. If we avoid dealing with it or we deal with it indirectly we give the enemy fertile ground to attack us on.

Lord, please forgive me and my bloodline for every word in every generation that we spoke from the wrong heart intent, forgive us for every word spoken from our own wounds and strongholds and personal as well as societal biases. Forgive me for my undisciplinedness and short-sightedness as well as every time I lacked maturity, self-control and wisdom. I forgive all people who spoke death over me and my bloodline and release them from all my judgements and I pray for their healing and release from all that binds them.

Please heal us and send Your Holy Spirit to collect all our idle and emotionally intense words of death and burn down the fields of harvest that we created for ourselves and brought over others. I ask that You place my tongue in a season of instruction and teach me wisdom, which will bring Your perspective, not my own, on every matter. Teach me the fear of the Lord and mature me so that my character will express the likeness of Christ so that I can learn to speak true words of life, according to the will of my Father in Heaven. Please purify the sound of my words through purifying my DNA from the generational sins of speaking death and I give You permission to touch my innermost parts and cleanse me from all the defilement that my words, as well as the words of others have brought over and into me. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

National Prayer Strategy: Day 3

Psalm 24:4b-6 “……., who has not lifted up himself to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation (description) of those who seek Him [who inquire of and for Him, and of necessity require Him], who seek Your face, [Oh God of Jacob].”
The way we grow up often predisposes us, to all kinds of beliefs and views about what we think is acceptable in both wider social situations as well as situations with those closer to us. We easily mislook our own roles and responsibilities in situations and focus on others. It becomes easy to blame others falsely and even set others up, when we ourselves stand in places of pride and blindness and self-deception.
Easy to sacrifice others on our altars of self-preservation and fleshliness. But those who allow and foster these sins cannot be part of those whom the Lord will accept, whose prayers the Lord will hear and consider. He doesn’t recognize our voices and our words drop to the ground when we don’t deal with our pride and our self-assumptions, when we rule over others and not take responsibility for our own sin and need for character development. We need to stop controlling situations and people and speak truthfully, yet wisely from purified hearts that hold and express the love of Christ Jesus in such a way that our nation can be built on a solid foundation of responsibility, accountability and truth. Let us become part of an integrity-filled generation who don’t swear falsely and who respect the truth.
Please forgive me and my bloodline afresh for all the blatant and hidden pride and control that I have not dealt with. Forgive me for seeing myself as more adequate or more justified or more worthy of being saved and blessed than those around me.
Forgive me for all falsehood and the telling of lies including all forms of deceptions and misrepresentations that my bloodlines and I have been responsible for. I lay down all falsehoods and idols and ask forgiveness for every place where we have sworn deceitfully and where other people were harmed. I want to be part of those who live in Your Spirit of Truth and I want to be one whom You can trust to share Your Truth with. Please teach me how to walk in wise Truth and develop my character so that I can keep standing in integrity. Also, please cleanse my DNA and restore me back into Your Image and likeness and place me under Your instruction so that I can acquire Your wisdom and not my own (Ps 24:5 and 6). In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen

National Prayer Strategy: Day 2

Psalm 24, 3-4a ”Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart.”

Out of the purity or impurity of our hearts we execute the works of our hands, which the Lord then assesses as clean or unclean. If our hands are clean, the Holy Spirit can work through us and build a nation through many holy hands that align with righteousness, goodness, mercy, our wisdom and true justice.

When our hands remain unclean and we carry no godly fruit on our works, the Holy Spirit cannot land on us and work through our hands to bless others through us. Our very own sin blocks the Spirit of Holliness and leaves us stuck in our habitual sin, which blocks the land and its people from experiencing being reconciled back into the Father’s plan.

Let us ask the Holy Spirit to show us how we handle each other, whether our works are self-seeking and self-preserving at the cost of others. Do our works demonstrate what Jesus would want us to do, so that our Father in Heaven can be praised? (Matt 5:16). This can only happen if we allow the Holy Spirit to shine His light onto and through us. Let’s deeply repent and deal with our self-justification and fleshly ways so that we can clean our hands and sanctify our works to the Lord.

Our Father in Heaven, please forgive me for all the unclean works that I now take responsibility for, I repent for every time when I behaved in a fleshly way. Forgive me for every situation in my life that had to do with other people, no matter what tribe, color or culture, where the works of my hands were unclean. Forgive me and my generations for our haughty and self-righteous works. Forgive us for every time when we protected, fed, nurtured and accepted only those who suited us and we turned our backs and abandoned others who did not hold any benefits for us. Please purify our hands from exploiting and abusing and neglecting each other and not submitting our hands to Your Holy Spirit to lead us. Cleanse our DNA and teach us how to listen for Your Voice and follow it. In Jesus’s Name I pray, Amen.

National Prayer Strategy: Day 1

Join us as we release the “National Prayer Strategy” for December 2017

DAY 1 – 8 DECEMBER 2017

Psalm 24:3-4a ”Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart.”

The Lord is calling us deeper into His ways. It is time to purify our hearts and clean our hands, to deal with falsehood and deceit. If we do not draw closer to Him to seek His face, we do not qualify to stand on God’s Holy Place, in the mountain of the Lord.

At such a time as now, Jesus Christ is looking for vessels of honour through which He can touch the country of South Africa and bring healing to deep brokenness and division. But know that this change starts with you and me. We need to purify ourselves through repentance and forgiveness. This journey starts with you inviting the Holy Spirit to show you the deception, pride, arrogance and self-justification that you carry in your heart, as have the generations before you, whose genes and DNA is in you.

Pray with me:
Jesus, I confess and repent on behalf of myself and the generations that I come from, that we have habitually followed and agreed with our own deceptive interpretations about You. We have justified our own ways of condemned the ways of others around us. We have stubbornly held onto the deceptions in our own hearts and justified to ourselves why we shouldn’t deal with it. Our hearts have become diseased and we have been blind to the impurities in our own hearts. Forgive us for this we pray, Lord Jesus. Matt 5:8 states that if we purify our hearts, we will see You, Lord Jesus. Please come and show us all the wrongful heart motives we carry and forgive us and release us and give us Your new hearts for us as we now trade our corrupt hearts into Your Hands. We break agreement with every lie and deception and give You permission to change our mindsets and continuously purify the deception in our hearts. Give us grace through Your blood, so that we can learn to understand more about Your heart for us and our nation and purify our sound over to understand more. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

250 National Christian leaders will be praying for our nation with parliamentarians this coming Friday 24 November 2017 in Parliament from 13h30 to 16h00. Please JOIN US in prayer wherever you may be in your homes or businesses for an hour between 12h00 and 14h00.

The specific Prayer Points are as follows:

We need a heart transplant from the Lord and it starts with seeking His face (Heb 10:22). Exactly 50 years ago the first heart transplant in the world took place in Cape Town. Now we are trusting God for a national heart transplant right there as we unite in prayer.

If we lose hope we lose everything. Our God is the restorer of hope; let us intercede for that (Rom 15:13). A courageous people.

May God forgive ungodly leadership in SA for having trampled on the truth of God’s Word. We pray that God will raise up God-fearing leaders and a godly government (Prov 29:2).

We pray that God will put an end to the murderous spirit in South Africa (bloodshed, rape, violence, abortion, racism, etc). That He will teach us the paths of life, raise up life-givers in thought, word and deed (Acts 2:28).

Our nation are in pieces and we need God’s healing. We pray that He also raise up a people after His own hearts whom He can use as instruments of healing (2 Chron 7:14; 2 Cor 5:18).

God spoke to me very clearly that this month we are to focus on the Economy and creation of Jobs for God’s people.  Many are in a state of great fear and anxiety as to the economy and their personal financial situation.  This is a time where our faith needs to be strengthened, and although the situation economically may turn for the worst in the future, it is the  wise who prepare in ahead of time, before the recession or retrenchment, the closing down of the company etc.  Proverbs 22:3

  1. Praying for transformation in our government, removal of corrupt leadership. 1 Timothy 2:2
Praying again for good governance, in LOCAL GOVERNMENT, building on July fast!
  2.  Praying for economic transformation. Deuteronomy 26:15
  3. For the CREATION OF JOBS, may this take place in a SUPERNATURAL way. God will create where there is no possibility!  Proverbs 12:14 Recognising where God provides – 1 Kings 17:1-6
  4. For the Church’s FAITH to be STRENGTHENED during this time. Matthew 7:9-11
  5. Praying against FEAR, that TRUST may prevail.  Matthew 6:24-26
  6. Praying against the Spirit of MAMMON, POVERTY and GREED in our nation, and in our people. 1 Timothy 6:10
  7. Praying for the Spirit of ENTREPRENEUR to be released in this nation, that God may prosper his people in the same manner He prospered Abraham.  Abraham was a businessman of note: Genesis ch 17

May we see a transformation in this nation, testimonies arising for the sake of the Kingdom of God and His people.  Selah!
